Build a Bigger Bestiary: Air Elementals (2024 MM)
Another day, another monster from the monster manual. There's only one Air Elemental in the 2024 Monster Manual, but there are two tiers of elementals in Daggerheart, so I'll model after that. Of note, we go from Minor to Greater, which feels like we're missing counterparts Lesser and Major.
Minor Air Elemental
Tier 1 Solo
A tornado the size of a horse.
Motives & Tactics: Flit, float, scatter, fly free
Difficulty: 15 | Thresholds: 12/16 | HP: 8 | Stress: 3
ATK: +3 | Pelt: Close | 1d20 phy
Features
Breezy Body - Passive: The Elemental is resistant to physical damage.
Insubstantial - Reaction: When the Elemental is attacked and takes damage, spend a Fear to do half that damage to another creature within Melee range.
Flurry - Action: Mark a Stress to summon a debris storm within Far range. All adversaries within the area must make an Agility Reaction Roll (13) to dive prone. Those who fail take 1d20 damage, those who succeed are Vulnerable until they stand back up.
Dissipate - Action: The Elemental briefly dissipates into the air. When you next spotlight the Elemental, attack with advantage.
Momentum - Reaction: When the Elemental makes a successful attack against a PC, you gain a Fear.

Greater Air Elemental
Tier 3 Skulk
A tornado the size of a house.
Motives & Tactics: Pummel, soar, smash

ATK: +6 | Debris Cascade: Close | 3d8+4 phy
Features
Breezy Body - Passive: The Elemental is resistant to physical damage.
Suffocate - Action: Attack a target within Close range. On a success, mark a Stress to deal 2d8+2 magical damage and Suffocate them until their next rest or they succeed on an Insight Roll (13). While Suffocating, the target must mark a Stress before moving or making an Agility, Strength, or Finesse roll.
Flurry - Action: Mark a Stress to summon a debris storm within Far range. All adversaries within the area must make an Agility Reaction Roll (15) to dive prone. Those who fail take 2d20 damage, those who succeed are Vulnerable until they stand back up.
Dissipate - Action: The Elemental briefly dissipates into the air. When you next spotlight the Elemental, attack with advantage.
